SOMERS — With private donations and successful stuff-a-cruiser events, the Somers Holiday Toy Shop is set to be a success this year. The toy drive, organized by Somers Human Services, allows families who need a little extra help this season to come and shop from the collected toys to give to their children.

SOMERS — For the last 50 years, the Somers Knights of Columbus Council 4303, Lions and Rotary Club have joined together to offer a Christmas banquet to the town’s senior citizens — an event that brings them together for an afternoon of talking, connecting and a turkey feast.

SOMERS — Somers’ annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4-7 p.m. at the Somers Senior Center and Town Common. Sponsored by the Somers Lions Club and the Somers Recreation & Leisure Services, this is a free family-friendly holiday event.
