CHICOPEE — Myriam Vega always had a passion for fashion, and with her new boutique, she is hoping to use that passion to empower and inspire women of all ages.
Match Us Collection Boutique, Chicopee’s newest storefront, recently opened at 665 Prospect St.
From matching mommy and me sets to the main collection — women’s clothing, shoes and accessories — the boutique has a variety of options for any occasion.
Vega shared that she has often been recognized and complimented on her style and clothing choices and wanted to invite women into her world of fashion — to guide and lead them, but mainly to serve as an inspiration, she said.
“It doesn’t only [involve] clothing and passion but also encouraging and empowering one another which is what I love most of what I do,” Vega added.
For now, she said the boutique does not offer any men’s clothing — only mom and son — but down the road, she hopes it will.
Since the boutique officially opened on Dec. 2, Vega said business has been “amazing.”
“I have a huge support system,” she said.
Vega, a Chicopee resident, owns and operates the boutique by herself. Eventually, she said she would like to incorporate volunteers from Chicopee High School and other local community students by offering employment — to serve the community and to help young females.
As Vega works to build the boutique’s online presence — specifically the website — she said she would like to have students use some volunteer hours for marketing — not only to help her promote, but to gain experience and to promote themselves.

Currently — for the holidays — the boutique is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
