WEST SPRINGFIELD — Residents of can take advantage of mail-in voting and in-person early voting in advance of the Nov. 5 general election.

The ballot includes the presidential race, a statewide contested race for U.S. Senate, a contested race for U.S. representative, and candidates for state Legislature, Governor’s Council and county officials, as well as five statewide ballot questions. None of the local state legislators faces an opponent on the ballot.

In-person early voting begins Oct. 19, and will continue until Nov. 1. West Springfield’s early voting is all at the town library, 200 Park St., West Springfield. Voting times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 19 and 26; and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, Oct. 21-25 and Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. There are no voting hours on Sundays.

Applications for voting by mail are being taken until 5 p.m. on Oct. 29, and ballots can be mailed or dropped off at the town clerk’s office up until Election Day. The clerk’s office is on the first floor of Town Hall, 26 Central St., West Springfield.

On Nov. 5, the usual polling places will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Precincts 1 and 2 vote at the Senior Center, 128 Park St., and precincts 3-8 vote at West Springfield High School, 425 Piper Rd.
