WARE — On Nov. 21, a special ribbon cutting event took place to celebrate the grand opening of Pineapple Express, a cannabis home delivery company, in the parking lot of Phillips Plaza in Ware on West Street.

Pineapple Express features several premium cannabis products from top area brands including Breathe Free, Trifecta Farms, Good Vibes, Lazy River Products, 14 Counties, Hidden Hemlock, Belushi Brothers, Treeworks, The Pass, along with Incredibles, Dog Walkers and many more. It also has custom monthly subscription options to choose from.

Owner Kaily Hepburn said, “I’m excited to bring a different kind of education and all sorts of great products from around the state here to Ware and the surrounding towns. I’m also excited to offer subscription packages and home catering to people all over the state.”

Hepburn started in the cannabis industry a few years ago doing some legal research. Hepburn is an attorney, and she was interested in the licensing and regulatory process. The more Hepburn figured out, the more she wanted to learn, so she started researching cannabis and then she decided a delivery company would be a great way to be able to find licensed legal products in the state and make them widely available.

“I want to help people learn about cannabis,” said Hepburn.

Pineapple Express is built upon reliability, convenience, and variety. It is emersed in research relating to the effects of cannabis on the body, and the earth, as well taboo reversal, and studies into cannabinoid and terpene profiles. Pineapple Express passes this research on to their customers, reflective in their menu, and encourages feedback through reviews and suggestions.

Currently, Pineapple Express is servicing Ware, Hardwick, New Braintree, West Brookfield, Brookfield, East Brookfield, Brimfield, Monson, Palmer, Belchertown, Granby, Pelham, Springfield, West Springfield, Westfield, Southwick, and is expanding quickly. Hepburn has educational programs set to begin in December and will have a series at senior centers across Massachusetts where she will give talks and workshops on the benefits of cannabis. She’s also been collaborating with the Quaboag Hills Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization that promotes business and development within the surrounding communities of Hampden, Hampshire, and Worcester counties.

“I became a member of the Chamber in October,” Hepburn said. “They’re a great resource for small businesses, for networking, for getting together with other people who are also running businesses and know the different challenges. The chamber has a lot of different people that are there and willing to help and want to help local businesses grow, so I’m really excited to get more involved with the chamber.”

She continued, “It’s been really fun to enter the cannabis industry. Everyone that’s a part of it that I’ve met and had the pleasure of working with are passionate about what they do and that’s been great for me to see. I love learning about it and watching it happen and I’m excited to put quality, innovative products out for people to be able to enjoy at home.”
