EAST LONGMEADOW — The East Longmeadow Lions Club hosted its annual Spring Fishing Derby on April 13 at Heritage Park. The East Longmeadow Jaycees ran the fishing derby for about 55 years. When the Jaycees disbanded, the derby didn’t take place for several years until the Lions Club revived the event in 2019. This free event offered children the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while fishing as well as prizes for ages 3-14.
