Election season is upon us and although both Chicopee and Holyoke’s mayors are runnning uncontested, each municipality has races for other positions including seats on the City Council and School Committee.

WESTFIELD — The city of Westfield will host a candlelight vigil to honor lives lost to overdose on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Elm Street Plaza, a new location for the vigil.
HOLYOKE — Florence Bank took the next step in its expansion into Hampden County by breaking ground on a 2,500-square-foot office at 1504 Northampton St., with a ceremony on Aug. 22.
CHICOPEE — Pizza Lino and the city of Chicopee hosted a ribbon cutting event on Aug. 19 to officially introduce the new pizza shop at 42 Center St.
