WEST SPRINGFIELD — The dream of building a new elementary school that combines John Ashley School with the John R. Fausey Elementary School has officially inched further into reality.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Among the floats, high school bands and police and fire departments marching in the 72nd Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade will be one proud Irish woman representing the town she loves. Mary Anne Flaherty, well known in West Springfield for her volunteerism and giving spirit, was named the town’s parade marshal for the 2025 parade.
CHICOPEE — After discussing it at a City Council meeting on Dec. 3, Mayor John Vieau, with the support of Chicopee Police Chief Patrick Major and with the approval of the City Council, is implementing a real time information center to enhance safety in the community.
HOLYOKE — After a groundbreaking event in March, Holyoke’s new middle school is set to open next fall for about 550 students in grades 6-8 and have come to decision with a name and mascot that residents of the city may already be familiar with William R. Peck School.
