SOUTHWICK — After the Select Board learned last week there is money left over from a Community Block Development Grant that was used to upgrade Bungalow Street, the agency that administers the grant asked the board what it wanted to do with it.
Westfield High School welcomes new assistant principal
WESTFIELD — Westfield High School Principal Charles Jendrysik announced on Friday, Aug. 1, that Lauren Figy Cadigan has been hired as a new assistant principal in the high school. She will be filling a position that was interim last year.
Westfield Fair returns Aug. 15-17
WESTFIELD — Volunteers are gearing up for the 97th Westfield Fair Aug. 15 to 17 at the fairgrounds on 137 Russellville Rd. Admission is $15 — cash only at the gate — and $13 for seniors and veterans. Admission is free for children under 12 with an adult.
Phase 3 of South Holyoke Homes project receives state funding
HOLYOKE — South Holyoke Homes Phase 3 project, a 40-unit affordable rental building on the corner of South East Street and Sargeant Street, received two different sources of funding from the state to conduct an environmental assessment and to begin construction on the parcel.
