HOLYOKE — The Holyoke Teachers Association hosted a press conference on Dec. 17 to announce that members of the HTA overwhelmingly voted no confidence in the School Committee’s bargaining team following months of stalled negotiations.

WILBRAHAM — The Wilbraham Select Board interviewed and appointed Ostaquio Rodrigues and Nicholas Cervizzi to the Wilbraham Police Department in its Dec. 15 meeting. Police Chief Edward Lennon presented the candidates to the Select Board.
AGAWAM — The Agawam City Council meeting on Dec. 15 served as the final one for councilors Gerald Smith, Peter Smus and Maria Valego, who were beaten in their races in the 2025 election.
NORTHAMPTON—Several months after a major weather event caused the culvert on Old Wilson Road to fail, the city is now planning to remove that culvert and open the road’s stream channel.
CHICOPEE — The City Council agreed to enter into a five-year contract with Peregrine Software Technologies for its data integration and analytics platform.
