WILBRAHAM — On Wilbraham’s side, it is known as Cottage Avenue, while Ludlow calls the same roadway Miller Street. Whatever name it goes by, the bridge that spans the Connecticut River and connects the two towns received a boost on May 16 as state Sen. Jake Oliveira (D-Ludlow) presented a $200,000 earmark for the bridge on behalf of himself and state Reps. Aaron Saunders (D-Belchertown) and Angelo Puppolo (D-Springfield).
Talks between the leadership in Hampden and Wilbraham on proposed revisions to the regional agreement governing the schools have broken down. The sticking point hinges on who should pay for capital expenses at Wilbraham Middle School, which students from both towns attend.
WILBRAHAM — Wilbraham voters considered the town’s budget, bylaws and citizen petition articles at its May 12 Town Meeting. While most items passed, it was not without debate.
WILBRAHAM — Each May, Wilbraham voters elect residents to vote on their behalf in the town government and on the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School Committee. In total, 13 people are running for positions on nine boards and committees.
WILBRAHAM — The town of Wilbraham will conduct its spring Town Meeting on May 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Minnechaug Regional High School. There are 50 articles on the warrant, including the fiscal year 2026 budget, capital projects, zoning changes and citizen’s petition articles.
