LONGMEADOW — The Longmeadow Select Board approved the appointment of Deputy Fire Chief John Rigney as the new head of the Fire Department upon Chief John Dearborn’s retirement in November.
Residents will soon have their first opportunity to vote in this year’s Nov. 5 state and presidential election. Beginning on Oct. 19, early voting will open in East Longmeadow, Hampden, Longmeadow and Wilbraham.
U.S. Rep. Richard Neal (D-Springfield) is a well-known name in Massachusetts. Nadia Milleron is not, and as a candidate for the 1st Congressional District, she is outraged by that.
LONGMEADOW — For 30 years, a group of Longmeadow residents has raised money to help bring programs to patrons of the Richard Salter Storrs Library. As it looks to the future, the organization wants to focus on programs and fundraisers that bring the community together.
