LONGMEADOW — The Select Board voted on Sept. 3 to implement the Municipal Fiber Task Force’s recommendation and see if the fall Town Meeting will vote to move forward with a townwide fiber optic internet network through Fiberspring, the fiber optic internet component of South Hadley Electric Light Department.
LONGMEADOW — The fourth annual Longmeadow Pride festival took place on the Town Green on Sept. 15. The crowds came out to the event, organized by the Longmeadow Pride Alliance, heard music, sampled food truck fare, played games and learned about community resources and municipal projects.
LONGMEADOW — Several residents came to the defense of Peter Benton, a resident who said his “character came into question” at the Aug. 12 Select Board meeting, during which he was under consideration as a candidate for the Board of Registrars.
LONGMEADOW — For the fourth year in a row, the Longmeadow Green will be filled with people, music and a welcoming atmosphere, as the Longmeadow Pride Alliance hosts Longmeadow Pride on Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LONGMEADOW — Roadwork, including the installation of sidewalks, bike lanes and crosswalks, is a never-ending challenge for municipalities. Longmeadow is asking residents for their opinions on which roadway projects will help make streets “complete.”
