WILBRAHAM — The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District sent fiscal year 2026 assessment letters to both towns ahead of their spring town meetings, when the budget will be up for a vote. In a budget season full of tough decisions, however, the School Committee still questioned whether to adjust the assessments in hopes of earning good will and avoiding an us-versus-them funding situation.
HAMPDEN — The Hampden Selectboard and Wilbraham Select Board met on March 19 to discuss a major sticking point in updating the regional agreement governing the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District: who will pay for upgrades at the middle school?
WILBRAHAM — Since the Feb. 4 budget roundtable with leadership from both towns and state legislators, placeholder figures have been locked down. While the numbers are becoming clearer, the future is far from certain.
