Town evicts resident on public health, sanitary code grounds

WILBRAHAM — Wilbraham is taking action to secure the property at 176 Cottage Ave. that the Select Board says presents a safety issue. The town has been in contact with the owner’s lawyer, without the issues being addressed.
WILBRAHAM — The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District has made some gains since last year, but there is still work to be done. That was the takeaway from the accountability report presented by Superintendent John Provost at the Dec. 19 School Committee meeting.
EAST LONGMEADOW — In another step forward for the East Longmeadow High School project, the School Committee approved six proprietary items, only available from one vendor, to be included in the building design.
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Among the floats, high school bands and police and fire departments marching in the 72nd Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade will be one proud Irish woman representing the town she loves. Mary Anne Flaherty, well known in West Springfield for her volunteerism and giving spirit, was named the town’s parade marshal for the 2025 parade.
