SPRINGFIELD — About 2,000 people gathered in front of the United States Federal Court House on State Street in Springfield on June 14 to protest the actions of President Donald Trump. The protest, dubbed “No Kings,” was part of a coordinated group of actions in more than 1,800 cities and towns across the country.

EAST LONGMEADOW — Football and track fans from other towns who come to East Longmeadow High School to watch their team compete will soon do so on new bleachers, thanks to a $150,000 earmark in the fiscal year 2026 state budget. The earmark was secured by state Sen. Jake Oliveira (D-Ludlow), who represents the town.

WILBRAHAM — Wilbraham is a friendly place for those living with dementia and their caregivers. The Council on Aging and a group of volunteers have recently completed work required to be certified as a “dementia friendly” community by the Massachusetts Councils on Aging’s Dementia Friendly Massachusetts initiative. The town will receive a certificate at the Wilbraham Senior Center on July 7.
